This week’s episode of MAKE IT COUNT, in partnership with LENY, Latinas en New York presenting Dominican born TV host and actress, YANELI SOSA, here she shares about her struggles with body image and how she found freedom in understanding what is true beauty. At an early age she was always chosen to speak at cultural events in school, which ignited my passion for television. After attending college, she stayed focused and passionate for the media and, lucky enough to have inherited an exotic look that served her purpose, she achieved stellar performances in modeling, television and hosting many festivals throughout the Dominican Republic, and recently in the United States. Late in 2012, she made the biggest life decision to move to New York and leave her imprint in American media. After establishing herself in the capital of the world, she quickly became co-host for the New York based television show “Aquitv Show”, which is transmitted throughout the Super Canal Caribe channel, and participated in many Mundo Fox shows, and even on the Univision show “Despierta America”, in addition to hosting festivals throughout NJ and NY. After quickly achieving her “American Dream”, she discovered a new passion for inspiring and supporting Latinas so they understand that “Si Se Puede” (Yes, it can be done)! she is confident that all Latinas have that capability and she is willing to making it a mission to empower them to achieve their dreams the way that she has achieved her own.
